Tinder Photo Shoot - What is it and should I do it?

Here is a thing - dating is hard in 2019. It is almost impossible to meet someone in a “meet-cute” fashion as we’ve seen in a bunch of romantic comedies of the 90s-00s. Today, we live in the world of Tinder, Bumble and OkCupid. And I’m not saying that it’s bad, no-no. It is totally the opposite, it is fun and exciting meeting new people. However, it is all about the picture and a few fun and quirky lines under the pictures.

What social media taught us in the past few years, people like to look at nice pictures and have nice pictures of themselves as well. And it doesn’t even stop at selfies and pictures from the travels. I was looking to buy a condo, and couldn't look at some of them, because the images were really bad. Pictures sell. it is a hard truth to hear, but we all know it. So, there is a newish trend in the portrait photography world - Tinder Photo Shoots.

What is a Tinder Photo Shoot?
it is a lifestyle portrait photo session, where the intended use of the images is - your Tinder profile.
It is about hour-long photoshoot, you could change your clothing a few time (I usually suggest 2 outfit changes). In the end, you get no more than 15 shots that you could choose from to post on your social media and dating profiles. Suggested places to go - walkabout Old Port of Montreal, streets of Plateau and Mile End (especially the cafes and graffiti walls).
